The Committee expects inflation to moderate in coming quarters, reflecting a projected leveling-out of energy and other commodity prices and an easing of pressures on resource utilization. Still, uncertainty about the inflation outlook remains high. It will be necessary to continue to monitor inflation developments carefully.
The substantial easing of monetary policy to date, combined with ongoing measures to foster market liquidity, should help to promote moderate growth over time and to mitigate risks to economic activity. The Committee will continue to monitor economic and financial developments and will act as needed to promote sustainable economic growth and price stability.

美联储降息25个基点 美股并未高涨尾盘转跌
据美联社报道，在美联储公布将联邦基金利率降低25个基点后，美股今日（纽约当地时间4月30日）收盘并没有出现高涨状况，各项指数均有回落。
尽管今天股市低收，但4月美股显著上扬，道指涨幅达4.5%，标普500指数上涨了4.7%，纳指涨幅达5.9%。
在美联储公布降息消息后，道琼斯工业平均指数曾短暂性上升到13000点左右，这也是自今年1月初以来该指数首次上涨达到这一高度。
至今日收盘，标准普尔500指数回落5.35点，报1385.59点，跌幅0.38%；道琼斯工业平均指数回落11.81点，报12820.13点，跌幅0.09%；纳斯达克综合指数下跌13.30点，报2412.80点，跌幅为0.55%。

综合外电4月30日报道，受到西门子公司(Siemens)的强劲表现以及美国可能避免经济衰退的提振，欧洲股市30日以乐观的走势结束了本月的交易。不过，在美国联邦储备委员会(Federal Reserve, 简称Fed)公布利率决定前股市仍在窄幅波动。
道琼斯欧洲斯托克600指数涨0.8%，至323.07点，盘中大幅振荡。该指数4月份累计上涨约5%，收复了部分失地。该股指自07年7月份见顶后已回落20%。
西门子收盘上涨3%。该公司公布第二财季净利润下降67%，至4.12亿欧元（6.421亿美元），收入持平于180.9亿欧元。
英国富时100指数收盘基本持平于6,087.30点，德国DAX 30指数收盘涨0.9%，至6,948.82点；法国CAC 40指数涨0.4%，至4,996.54点。
美国股市30日早盘走高，之前公布的数据显示，美国2008年第一季度国内生产总值(GDP)增长0.6%，同时通用汽车公司(General Motors)的亏损并没有市场担心的那么大。 |
